IE8 black toolbars on Windows XP

I know this has been dealt with before, but it still happens occasionally.
Okay, I reset to Windows Classic and it's back to normal.

The only trouble is, every so often, it reverts to black. I can deal with it
but I'd like to cure it.

Has anybody any ideas, please?

To the best of my knowledge there is no cure.

I believe that it is due to certain items loading out of sequence. While
they work, the result if the black bar.

Sometimes a warm start is all I need to do. Otherwise I reset the desktop
theme back to Windows Xp then immediately reset back to my classic theme
and preferred desktop image and screen saver.

Many thanks anyway.

As it happens, it seems to have reset itself and is working okay at the
moment.
