IE8 exception message, tab recovered

Having had to completely wipe and re-install my operating system (XP pro)
and my IE8 I have a problem with IE. Occasionally some tabs turn orange, and
I get a message that the tab has been recovered (usually after I have closed
it). I also occasionally get a message about an "exception in a third part
module with options to "save report" or "cancel".
Any suggestions?
TIA

Start looking at the add-ons you installed for IE. Looks like one of
them is causing the problem. Test by loading IE8 in its no add-ons mode
(which does not load the installed add-ons or COM plug-ins).

I have disabled all addons and that seems to have cured most of the problem
Only thing I noticed is when trying to close IE with 2 tabs open, I got a
message saying IE had to close with the option to send error report, however
it did not close but stayed open with one tab and a message that the tab had
been recovered. When I closed it again it shut down OK.

I have re-installed IE8 and all now seems to be working as it should!

Disabling add-ons is NOT the same as running IE7/8 in its no add-ons
mode. Try the no add-ons mode.
