What would be better than installing IE, you might want to check out ubuntu.
It has open source software and Ubuntu is free. www.ubuntu.com

Instead of Internet Explorer, you might want to check out Firefox. Go to
www.mozilla.com. Stay away from Vista, far away from Vista.

Look promising? Looks pretty crap I think, if this early screenshot is
real. It has an Office 2007 interface!

Actually, that must be fake, as it has the different Word views at the
bottom, which would not make sense in IE, and there is the Undo and Save
buttons at the top left. But, IE8 is going to have a Office 2007 style
ribbon interface, apparently.

I'd be surprised. I run several versions on IE on Linux now - I have to
use them to check web sites I develop since MS does so many non-standard
things with their browsers.

Agreed! It would be a surprise if they didn't. I'm still on the fence
regarding Office 2007, but if these screenshots are legit I'm looking forward
to IE8.
