In the Add/Remove Programs applet, uninstall the Flash Player. That
includes both the AX control (for Internet Explorer) and plug-in (for
Firefox, Safari, etc). Then use Adobe's stand-alone uninstaller
(
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) to make sure all [well,
most of the] registry and file remnants are removed. Even then, I would
probably go through my file system looking for Adobe folders that could
be deleted for products that have been uninstalled, like under
"%userprofile%\local settings\application data", %appdata%, and
"%programfiles%\Common Files". Then do a fresh install of Flash Player.
If that doesn't work, reboot Windows into its safe mode (with
networking) and retest to see of Flash content plays okay. If it works
then you are loading something on Windows startup or on login that is
causing the interference.
