ie8 windows 7 forgets log in information

Evere since I got IE8 I have had the problem where my log in information is
lost, i always click the remember me icone (where available) on a website
such as facebook, google or whatever, for a few days this works fine, then it
forgets me. I have NOT got the delete web hsitory tunred on and as far as i
csan see all other settings in IE8 seem ok, i have searched for this problem
for ages and it seems many people have experienced it, can anyone help me get
a fix for this annoying problem?

Login information is usually stored in a cookie. Check that Internet
Explorer and your security software are not setup to delete cookies.

nope definitely not set to delete cookies in either IE8 or Norton

I get this occassionally if IE8 crashes - it seems that sometimes the cookie
cache is messed up. It may be down to an incompatible add-on or virus
scanner. Have you been having problems with IE crashing or hanging?

I have the same problem. Annoying, but I live with it. It may be due to
MSE.

What's MSE? Microsoft Essentials? If so, not in my case - I don't have
Essentials.

Yeah, MSE is Microsoft Essentials, which I thought is included in Windows 7.
