iesp6

hi have successfully download the critical iesp6 file. then it goes through
the install part and say restart. i click yes. everytime it reboots it says
completion was unsuccessful to close all programs and run again. i have done
this over and over again but it still come up with this message. other than
windows running there is nothing else running. why can't i get it to finish
the install? i have even gone into the msconfig and made sure everything
that was loading up was unchecked.

If you are attempting to install IE6 SP1, try this :
Create a folder in My Documents and name it IEBak. Using
Windows Explorer navigate to
Program Files\Internet Explorer\Uninstall Information.
Move all of the files from that folder to IEBak.( Do not delete the
folder or move it, just the files in it. )Now try installing IE6SP1.
If IE6 SP1 installs you can delete the folder, IEBak.
If it does not move all of the files inside of IEBak back to
Program Files\Internet Explorer\Uninstall Information.
