If i put a file in the shared folder for a contact, can he recieve the file
if i am offline? Reason im asking is that i am 8 hours ahead of my parents
(UK - Malaysia) and send the occasional picture... I'm not always online when
they are and wondered if the files actually tranfer if i am not online when
they log on.... Hope you say yes

Cheers
Scott

I have never played with the folder while offline and online. I know that
the folder exists on my local file system. I suspect that the shared folder
contents are synchronized when both parties are online, and that anything in
the shared folder on your end won't be available on the far end if you are
offline; unless they already received the files during synchronization when
you were both online.

Correct, both parties must be online for synchronisation to take place.
