On XP pro the ability to access Access databases is built in - but Vista does
not have the JET drivers to access the database.
How do I install these drivers?
Thanks

Andre - thanks for your post - but the MS support presumes an installed
version of Jet - Vista does not have this (I tried to verify the version and
Msjet40.dll is not found.

Can you help further
Thanks

I have it on Vista Business and Vista Ultimate in C:\Windows\System32
Are you sure your search includes hidden and protected system files?

Ok - I have found the file but it is the wrong version it is 4.0.2927.17
which KB239114 says is for SP3 - the Vista version should be 4.0.9635.0 and
the SP8 update does not have a Vista version

Please can anyone tell me how to get the right version of the JET files to
replace the incorrect versions. I think I may have installed the SP3 in error
because I didn't know why Jet was not working and tried to get Jet to work.
