What is my im address for Windows Live Messenger that I can share with
someone else who desires to be on my buddy list?

I don't have a hotmail address or do I automatically get one when I installed
Windows Live Messenger?

You do NOT automatically get a hotmail address when you download and install
Windows Live Messenger. Go to hotmail.com and sign up for an account. You
will create a unique hotmail address for yourself and a password to access
the account. You will use this same e-mail address and password when you
sign-in to your Windows Live Messenger. Once you've created your account,
you can give your e-mail address or Windows Live ID to your contacts and
they can add you to their messenger list.

The easiest way to find your Messenger address is just to open the main Messenger window
(with your contact listed) and click on your own display picture at the top. The contact
card that appears should have it listed.
