I'm unable to view the contact's webcam

Hi I'm using Windows live messanger version 8.1
I've been trying to view the webcam of my contact. When i send a request for
the same , my friend accepts that invitation and my messanger shows
"connecting to xyz ......" But it never shows the others webcam. After
sometime it hangs up. The same thing happens with my friend when i share my
camera with him..
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have WLM and I can't see my contacts web cam. I have noticed that this is quite widespread problem but i haven't found a solution.
