My friennd in Germany has the image.zip virus after she clicked on what was
supposed to be a picture from one of her friends and now everyone on her
friend list is receiving similiar messages asking them to click on the
attached picture which is some form of jpeg.zip. I have saved the virus to my
desktop and tried to scan it with Norton and Malwarebytes. Neither one could
find anything wrong with it. I think its only activated if you click open
from messenger. Anyways I have tried a few things I saw out on the net but I
don't believe fixes I used for her were for that version of the virus. I
didn't try having her changing her registry because she's very very non-tech
savy. I was hoping there is a program that will just automatically remove the
virus and any affected files. Please inform me of any programs that you are
aware of that can do this. Thanks in advance.
