Images not being displayed in internet explorer, help screen, or o

Certain images whether they are a map from weather.com, or having a bunch of
x's for images when clicking help & support from the main vista start menu or
even from the community site for this discussion board the images are not
being displayed and are being shown with an x as if they can not find them.
if i goto firefox they work fine.
