Immediate install of Patches

I know this may have been asked already, but is there any
way to force the install of patches immediately rather
than wait for a scheduled time to do this? Everything is
configured for Windows Update, but the problem is some of
our laptop users do not have their laptops on our network
at the time of scheduled installation, which is noon for
us. Can this be done at logoff or login? Will WUS be
capable of doing this?
