Messenger team wants us to choose which features we want, well, how about
this, make us all happy, spend some more time on the development of the new
build, and implement all of these features in, then, make it a major
milestone, call it Windows Live Messenger 9.0, that way, everyone will be
happy.

Simple. Just spend more time on it, don't rush to compile a new build so
fast.

How about an easy way to configure Remote Assistance to get through to
router or firewall. That is the biggest pain

I couldn't agree more. Even with people that are not computer novice's have
trouble with this feature. Unfortunately, I think it is a feature of Windows
and not Messenger so I doubt we will see any improvement. In fact, with
Vista, I bet it got harder!

In Vista, tests I run I can now do remote assistance behind I router. But
what WLM should do is if it fails alert both users what should be changed in
their software and hardware firewalls. That way I don't have to keep
looking it up
