Import contacts

I have about 300 contacts to import into Messenger. They are in Outlook.
I have tried exporting from outlook into a csv then import into Hotmail.
That did not work. I only see contact1, contact2, contact3 etc. If I had
them in Hotmail then I could identify them as Messenger contacts. So that
did not work.

Is there a way of selecting multiple contacts (as vcf files) or???? to
import into Messenger Contacts
