Importing lost info through update from Express to Outlook 2002.

When updates took place on 07/18 it went from Outlook Express to Outlook
2002. All contacts and past emails, files etc...were lost. How can we
retrieve or import the information back into the new Outlook 2002 program?

That does not sound plausible.

As far as I know - there were no updates that would have converted your
email (moved it according to the idea you are presenting) from Outlook
Express to Outlook XP (or vice versa.)

Unless you moved the email - you should still have it all in the Outlook
Express application (or Outlook XP, depending on any clarification you would
like to present - as it is confusing as to what you are trying to say
happened.)

Well last night when I went to bed I had Outlook Express. This morning after
the update I no longer had any email but a box that popped up that said I
needed to install Outlook 2002. I told it NO I didn't by accident because I
thought that I hit a wrong button somewhere along the way. Earlier someone
told me to do Detect & repair in an Microsoft program and I did do that. I
have also tried to restore my system back to yesterday. It won't allow it.
I have tried to uninstall the update and unfortunately this is one that
cannot be uninstalled. So I am at a loss.

If you wish to use Outlook Express, simply open Outlook Express. Click
Start -> All Programs -> Outlook Express.

Do not launch Outlook. The icons are quite different.
