Using Windows Live XP. I have files in the .mbox format that I'd like to
import, but I can't figure out how to do it. Can someone give some help?
Thanks.

Windows Live XP? That is a new one on me; and an Internet search fails to
find any information on a "Windows Live XP". Lots of information on,
"Windows Live Essentials", and even a link on a "Windows XP Live CD"; but
no, "Windows Live XP".

On the assumption that you are running "Windows Live Mail" in XP, it can't
directly import .mbx files, that I know of. Aren't those from MS Outlook
Express 4, and earler? Usual drill is to use the originating application to
export email files as, '.eml', then drag the '.eml' files onto a folder with
WLM open. But if you don't have MSOE 4, I don't know how to do the import.

Are these files from Thunderbird? I don't believe you can import them even
if

the messages were still in TB. If TB was still on the machine and you
wanted to transfer messages, I would say to do it this way.

Create a folder on your Desktop, then in Thunderbird open the folder with
the messages you want to move. Highlight one message, then Ctrl+A will
highlight them all, (or hold the Ctrl button down while you select only
the messages you want), Now, drag and drop them to the folder on your
Desktop.

Open WLMail and create a folder for the messages. Open the Desktop folder
and drag the messages into the WLMail folder.
