Hi,
I have this problem that when I log into windows, the computer icon on
the sys tray has that red "X" on it and it says: "connection status:
unknown. The dependency service or group failed to start".
Well I tried "sfc /scannow", "bootrec /fixboot", "bootrec /fixmbr",
editing Upper/Lowerfilters on registry, setting services's launchtypes
as automatic, "netsh winsock reset"/"netsh int ip reset" and so on and
so on.
Now I'm beginning to think that I can't fix this without reinstalling
but I'd like to know if there is an option with the Vista DVD to import
the old registry and replace the wrong keys with my current one (of
course I really wouldn't want to replace the whole registry).
