Impossible to change contact and impossible to choose a contact

When I create a mail, I can not choose a contact in my adress book and it's
not possible to change a contact in my adress book.
The mesage in French is "Impossible de choisir un destinataire"

Please ! Help !

It often helps to start Windows Mail, then click Tools, then Windows
Contacts,
then right click in the empty space under the right end of the toolbar, then
click
on Customize This Folder, then the triangle, then Contacts, then Apply, then
OK, then close the contacts window.
