Inbox blank after sync (no XP firewall in use)

My 5555 inbox frequently shows no today messages although they are
listed on my Outlook 2003. I do not use XP firewall.

If I do manual sync it is still the same. If I double click on the
desktop AS Inbox that folder syncronises and the messages appear on the
5555.

My contacts, notes etc always continously sync so why not the Inbox
messages?
