I was looking at the Inbox in my Windows Message Store
(User/Local/Microsoft/Windows Mail/Local Folders/Inbox), and I noticed that
there are 7 messages listed there of 0 KB each, dated from 4/25 to 8/13. In
Windows Mail, I keep my Inbox empy, and yes, when I open Windows Mail, my
Inbox is indeed empty.

What are these 7 message? Should I keep them? Is it okay to delete them?
Are they shadow emails of emails I've moved to one the personal folders I've
created under the Local Folders heading? Please help.

Yes, Windows Mail does that, and yes they are safe to delete. There is a free
nifty little utility (WMutil) that will remove them for you after you have
closed Windows Mail.

Hi BearySarah

Read the First section at this site, and try the KB941090 Update to se
if it will fix it for you.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/62...l-problems.htm

If they are .eml files, then you can simply click on them to see wha
they are. You can even change the file extension to .txt to be able t
read them in notepad if you wanted. They will be safe to delete. D
not delete the "winmail.fol" file. You can use the "To Reset Window
Mail" section at the above link as reference if you need it
