Greetings,
Are you just seeing blackness then? If so, as a starting point, you should verify with your
contact that they've gone through the Audio and video setup and correctly chosen their video
input device as they may have others that Messenger is using (like a TV tuner for instance).
One can get to the setup by pressing the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the menubar,
then Tools, then Audio and video setup.
Additionally, instead of using the video call you can actually have them send you just their
webcam video for testing. To do so, use the Alt key to bring up the menubar in your
conversation window, click Actions then Video, then View a contact's webcam.
