Incorrect MS_DOS Version

After updating W2K with Service Pack 4 and all subsequent updates, the FIND
command that has always worked in MS-DOS now generates an error message:
"Incorrect MS-DOS Version."

The version of MS-DOS is 5.00.2195. The W2K help files list FIND as a
legitimate command. Yet suddenly it doesn't work.

Can anyone suggest why? And how to remedy this?

Thanks for any help!
