OS: Vi$ta Ultimate x64
VGA: Radeon 4850
Board: M2N-E (nForce 570 Ultra)
RAM: 6G Adata DDR2-800

I removed the old 15.01 driver completely from the Control Panel and now
I could not get back into Vi$ta. I entered Safe Mode and installed
Nvidia 15.23's SATA RAID driver. No go. Window$ would blue-screen after
the login screen.

Is re-installation of OS the only way out?

I have a restore point at 28-Sep. Aren't all driver files gone when I
use Control Panel to remove 15.01's drivers?

1. Ha ha ha.... I created a restore point no 28-sep.
Now that I booted into Safe Mode, I can't find it. VI$ta said
there is NO restore point on the system drive. Ha ha ha...
What could I do now?

2. Also, I suspect that it's the Radeon Calalyst Driver that caused
the blue-screen. But I can't remove it because Window% Installer
not working while in safe mode. Any way out?

Make sure that the box is checked for viewing restore points older
than 5 days old.

he can't boot normally any more

system restore can only correct small problems, never when the entire system
crash.
it's a waste having that bull turned on.

what he must do is reinstall the chipset correct drivers, by force if
needed.

System restore does not "correct small problems". It doesn't correct any
problems.
It simply restores to a previous point and if that previous point was
working just fine, then the op would be good to go.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Sorry, but that is not correcting any problem because the restore point
may not have the problem.

That is an incoherent statement which I've notice is rather typical of you.
