I seem to be having the same prob. I thought i may have a virus but all my
virus/add/spyware scans came up negative... mouse is dragging all over screen
and loadtimes are taking 10X as long. That lil dot that goes across the
bootscreen in windows XP will go across 50-60X before windows even gets to
the log on. And it hangs for a min on a black screen before itll even get to
the logon, its horrible.
There seemed to be no explanation of why this was happening, ive had to do a
system restore twice. That seems to fix it... thats when i noticed ive had to
d/l the 6 windows updates all over again. Still havnt d/led them and my
system is still working fine.
My system is,
P4 520
1GB Ram DDR2 533
120GB 7200RPM HDD
12GB Maxtor HDD
