Increasing message size

It would be a very convenient feature if the character limit in Windows Live
Messenger is increased from the current 400 to something like 5.000 as an
plug-in to the popular Messenger Plus! does.

Agreed, unfortunately I don't think this will be changed for the real release and we'll have
to rely on patches or Plus to do it.

I suggested this, and even got alot of votes on it and it was closed as by
design. I don't believe they have plans on boosting the size anytime soon.
Like Jonathan said, we'll have to reply on Plus! Live or patches to do this.

Realistically, how often do people send messages that long?

Prabably not often, but I do want a larger max message size, because I am
always trtying to paste long messages into the message window and having
them truncated.

I could not find a patch on the site like the one you describe. Could you
post a link or provide a file name to search for?
