index.html error

I recently purchased a new computer with Vista Home and downloaded my website
to the new computer. Now after I make a change to my index file and try to
save it I get the following message:
Unable to save C:\index.html. This file may be a read only or used by
another program.

Any help will be appreciated!

1. Vista doesn't like you to put files in the root (c:\) directory. I
suggest creating a folder under C:\Users\youraccount\Documents

2. How did you copy the files to the Vista computer? If you copied them via
a CD, then they are probably read-only.

Dave,
1. That sounds like the ticket. I have not been able to create a folder
under c:\users\youraccount\documents. Can you please provide direction to
create this folder? I am finding that Vista is very difficult to navigate.
2. I imported the website from my website directly to my new computer.
