Okay. First things first. I don't know what my friend did to he
computer but by the time I got to it, it would boot to where you shoul
login and then show nothing but a blue screen (not the blue screen o
death, though). She said she had someone else look at it who said th
hard drive needed to be replaced. I told her I'd try something first.
I'm trying to wipe her hard drive clean and put Vista on there. Th
first time through I got the message "Windows could not set the offlin
locale information. Error Code: 0x80FE0000." I did a couple Googl
searches and found lots of forums explaining what to do, but none o
this has worked so far. My latest attempt involved me getting to th
install screen, clicking install, putting in the product key an
unchecking the automatically update box, accepting the license, and the
clicking custom (advanced) installation. This brought me to the scree
to pick the hard drive I wanted to install on. I formatted the partitio
i wanted, then tried to install, but I'm still having problems
Sometimes I get the same error, and once I got an error saying window
cannot access the the installation sources yada yada.
Sorry for the wall of text. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks i
advance
