inertnet 6 not installing

i download internet 6 and it only gets halfway before it tells me it cannot
get any further. it says i need to shut all running apllications and try
again. i have no programs running and it still doesn't work. did it mean
something else? or does something else need doing.

Windows version? Did you also disable your anti-virus application and any
third-party firewall?
