Hello,

When I navigate through windows of Windows I open several windows that are
impossible to size at wanted dimension; the window return always in default
size.
I've tried for some windows Ctrl+Shift and clicking X to quit but don't work
for all windows. Also the columns in some programs the width size is difficult
to fix and save and the column return always in narrow default size and
impossibile to read the title name.

Is possible to fix this problem?

Thanks

Hello Alberto,

Method Two in this tutorial will help Vista remember your window sizes
and folder view settings in the window for when it was last closed from
the location.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70...-settings.html

The column width is remembered for how it was set in the last window
that you closed for all windows.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hello Brink,

I'm glad to read you again. to help me.
Please let me know how resolve the "Windows Services" window enigma.
Don't maintain the size and the columns size return always when closed to
the default size as little window.I've tried everything, for example now the
windows defender window maintain the saved size with Ctrl+shift+ X to
quit, but this window is impossible.if you know a direct solution for this
window please let me know because is this window and the "events of windows"
in MMC that cause problems and I'm interested to resolve.
I use Vista 32 Ultimate

Thank you

Alberto, that window is a pesky one. While in the Windows Service
window, click on "View" and "Customize" afterwards. From these two area
you select how the default display should be for the window

Hope this helps

Brink,

I don't know what you mean about go in "Windows Services" click View and
Customize. I go where you say but the only thing that I can do in that
window is choose what the console contain. The columns names. I cannot choose
the default size or other options as the columns width.
When I open the Windows Services window appear little.
I move the window in big size I move the columns in the right width , so the
names of the services are possible to read completly, when I'm satisfied as
the window appear close the window clicking ctrl+ shift + X (quit symbol to
close the window) to save but the next time I open that damn window is little
and all the columns narrow and unreadable.
Hope is clear, also the window of "Windows Events" present similar problem
is impossible have a window with a non default size.

Thank you

Sorry Alberto,

There is not a way that I know of to make the "Windows Services" window
keep the view settings that you have made. It will always reset back to
the default when closed and reopened.
