When pressing the resolve button we get this error message on ActiveSync
Information type not synchronised however we cannot ascertain which
files/folders ActiveSync has problems with as the window with the
files/folders does not display.
The PPC is connected, but we still get this connection error message.

We checked Microsoft KB299625. System has Office 2000 SR1 professional. We
checked the CDO objects were already installed to run from PC. Mapi32.dll
v1.0.2536.0 was also in the windows\system32 folder ActiveSync 3.8, Win XP
Sp2

"Information types not synchronized"

"Items of one or more information types cannot be synchornized. Disconnect
and reconect yur device. Top view all error messages and dialog boxes that
require yourt input, you much connect to this computer via infrared or
serial/USB cable"
The PPC is however connected via USB and communicating.

Hi Jeff,

Move all your files to a temp folder on the desktop and then move the files
one at a time into the sync folder and sync to identify the file(s) that
might be causing the error message.

Thanks Raj. I removed all files & folders from the PocketPC My Documents
folder on the PC but still Attention Required on files and the same
"Information Types not Synchronised" message when selecting "Resolve items".

So there are now no files/folders in the My Documents\Pocket_PC My Documents
folder on the PC but still the same communications type message when the PPC
is connected. What woud be the next step?

Sorry I meant to add to this post that from within ActiveSync, since this
message appears, the sync folder name and the files already in the sync
folder with the add/remove options do not appear.

Hi Jeff,

Did you try syncing after performing a soft reset?

I removed the partnership from the PC and recreated to overcome the problem.
