Re-Format your Computer And Install Either Microsoft Windows Server 2008 RTM
(Which To My Knowledge Does Not Have This Problem That You Describe), Or
Install Open Source Linux Ubuntu 7.10 RTW, Also Just FYI.

you must install SP1, and then do some tweaking, then you will get the exact
same performance as Server...
With SP1 they running the same kernel .. all you need is to stop some
services etc...
depends on your needs.. But from a user point of view server is more
expensive that to buy it for desktop use,
and some programs refuse to install- run on it.

For Me The Reason Why I Am Running Microsoft Windows Server 2008 RTM Right
Now Is That I Was Unable To Get The Microsoft Beta Tester Windows Registry
Hack To Work On Monday Night, Yes I Already Know That Both Microsoft Money
2008 RTM And Windows Live Messenger 8.5 RTW Will Not Work On Server 2008
RTM, Just FYI.

It's incompatible with bizarre capitalization.
