insightbb and windows mail... anyone else having issues?

Since switching to insightbb I can not send emails (worked correctly the
first week). I get no errors, shows the email in sent items, but no one
receives them????

What happens when you send yourself an email?
If it doesn't arrive in your Windows Mail inbox, does it arrive in your
webmail inbox?

It does not show up in either and is not in spam/junk folders. Insightbb says
to reinstall windows mail, it was preloaded (e-machine) and is now out of
warranty.

Windows Mail can't be reinstalled since it is part of the Vista operating
system (OS). You would have to reinstall all of Vista.
A much better solution is to upgrade to the newer and better supported
Windows Live Mail:

Before you go that route, I suggest you try some lesser changes, such
as doing a trial uninstall of your antivirus. Which antivirus are you running?
Some of them cause problems with Windows Mail over time.
Also, Norton and McAfee antivirus programs must have their uninstall
followed up by using a special debris removal utility.

I am running Avast(free), I turned the out going scan off and uninstalled
it. Still have the same issues.

I installed Windows Live Mail, I only see my MSN account. How do I get it to
open my insightbb mail?

If your Insightbb account did not import automatically, you can set it up
manually in Windows Live Mail:
If you don't see its menu bar, press Alt first, then Tools, Accounts, Add..."
The settings you need for Insightbb can be copied from your
Windows Mail, or get them here:

Thanks, got it. This will receive but not send, exactly like Windows mail.
I'm going to try Insightbb again, then I'll post in live mail if they can't
help.

OK, good luck. When you post in the Windows Live Mail newsgroup,
let them know if you ever had Norton or McAfee antivirus on your PC.
Most new computers come with a trial version of those.
