Install error code 0x80070714

I had Vista Beta 2 running in fine form on my computer. I applied all
updates and then installed Vista RC1 as an upgrade. That went fine (no
errors) but my computer would not boot up - continuous rebooting.

So I decided to do a clean Vista RC1 install. Formatted the C: drive and
let it go. It ran for some time and then stopped with error code 0x80070714
during the installation process.

I cannot find any information about this error code. Can anyone give me a
suggestion on how to get going again?
