install freezes when gathering files

This pertains to windows vista beta. During install I get all the way to
"gathering files" and at 89%, then just stays there. Ilet it run for six
hours at that point and still nothing. I tried to reboot and tried the
install again and still the same thing.

I am running into the same issue but mine seems to hang at 80% I don't want
to do a complete format and start from scratch, but the upgrade portion seems
flakey and I can't even find a log that says what its hanging on.

Dont know if this will help you but just did help me.I clicked on to close
the installation.Suddenly the gathering files part of the install finally
completed.
I'm no pro just maybe it will help.
