I currently have the 1st vista M/S sent me (Beta 2 Customer Preview Prog)
running. I just got , Release Candidate 1 Customer Preview Prog. In the
mail.
Can I install it over the old one? Without losing everything? Do I have to
do a clean install?
And, what is the difference between the two? I tried to find a webpg. with
this info but have had no luck.
Thank for any help
Brian

Hi Brian :-)

You can do an upgrade of the Beta 2 with the RC1. Make sure that you back
up all your important files and data to a separate partition of hard drive
first. By doing the upgrade you should not lose anything, but, if you use
Outlook Express for your email client, then you may have to import your
files and resetup your newsgroups and such. Be aware that upgrades will take
longer to install than a clean install, and will require more disk space for
the process, as it must make a backup of the original files before it can do
the upgrade install.

If you don't have a backup program download and install the Acronis program.
There is a free trail and it does work with Vista.

Acronis - It supports Vista - They have several versions and free trials:

Hope this helps.
