I have installed updates for Microsoft office.Even if these updates are
installed.
When I turn off Windows I get the Install updates and Shut down option.
Does this everytime I shut down even if these updates are installed.
Can anyone identify the problem and how it can be rectified.Thanks.

I too have the problem which just started to occur in the last 2 days. I need
to re-boot a couple of times a day because of my CAD program. I always leave
the option in Windows Shutdown box as "Restart" but now it keeps defaulting
to "Install updates and shut down". There are no updates to install so I cant
figure out where to change this mallady. I'm hoping someone will reply also
who knows how to fix this.

It wouldn't say that if you did not hve updates to install.
It would say that if some update is having issues installing.

What update(s) does it tell you it is installing?

It already installed the updates, not sure which ones and according to the
History all were installed successfully.

Several updates have a tendency to repeat (successfully) over and over.

There are fixes - if you find out which of the updates are repeating on you.
