Exactly! Some people make it so hard on themselves.
I have been using imaging software since 1993 and have never reinstalled an
operating system - unless I "want" to.
Install the O/S. Install the software you want, configure the O/S and
software to your liking, download the requisite updates, activate the O/S
and any other programs that need the same - then image the damn thing.
After 2 months (or 2 years) it will only take 15-20 minutes to get back to
the exact same state you were in when the image was created!
Get smart people and do it the easy way.
