How to install WSUS on DMZ server

I'm setting up a replica wsus server in our dmz.
I use a remote sql db with my primary server.
Since the new server will be a replica, do I have to specify my internal sql
server\instance for the db? It's part of the install process to specify the
db, but once it's 'out there', as a replica shouldn't it only report up to my
main server with no additional connectivity to an internal sql box necessary?

Ok, I really have to read better.
I will refer myself back to the documentation where it states:
"Each WSUS server requires its own database"

If you mean you're using the same *database* as your primary server, that
won't work.

The replica server needs to have it's own dedicated database. The best
implementation for a replica server in the DMZ is to use the Windows
Internal Database on the local (replica) server.

If you've installed a *second* instance of SQL Server on your internal
server, then yes. You would specify it as SERVERNAME\INSTANCENAME when
prompted for the database to use during installation.

Nope. Each WSUS Server requires it's own dedicated database.

Having said all of that, I would recommend against using a remote database
connection across a firewall anyway -- even if you are using a second
instance on the internal server.
