Procedure I used was to turn off cable modem, firewall, McAfee, Spy Sweeper,
and all peripherals. This was done so install would not be 'confused' by all
the 'extra' stuff.
After SP2 was finished installing I turned off the Microsoft firewall,
turned on everyting I had turned off and SP2 identified everything just fine
and has been running ok for weeks.
