Installation Error 0x80070659 VISTA 64bit

I have seen this error reprted by others during installation of lates
version Windows Messanger Live (WML) but the post would not let me repl
or add to it (too old). I have searched the web until my fingers ar
down to the bones but no success, yes I have run the installer a
administrator and I am the only user of the computer. The error says th
installation is forbidden by the system policy???? or something lik
that

HISTORY - first time the WLM did install and work but would not run th
audio and video setup (a problem inherited from WLM previous versio
following the installation of a new sound card). I uninstalled WLM an
tried to install again using Perfect Uninstaller and from the Contro
Panel). I also found a cleaner utility to completely remove WLM and ra
this too. There is no way I can now install without this reported error

I am running Vista Home Premium Edition 64bit operating system

I have tried to get into the policy settings to see if I can chang
anything but can't find how to do this

Assistance greatly appreciated as I loved the look of the new versio
for the hour it did work! - fortunately I found an older version an
managed to install it, I use it daily, thanks in advance

This is a newsgroup, not technical support from Microsoft. Newsgroups
is a forum where other computer users get together to discuss things,
and this forum just happens to be about Windows Live Messenger. As far
as I know Microsoft does not require that any of their employees to
monitor this forum.

Maybe you haven't received any replies is because nobody else has
experience the same problem that you have, or how to correct the problem
you're experiencing.
