I have a similar problem, although I use no RAID and no SATA.
Just ordinary setup IDE controller - 250 GB Samsung HD.
When I try to install RC1 from CD ( burned from HD using Win_Vista)
it goes only to the "Open the File..." and CD shows activity
in the CD Drive ... and that's all what I get, as far as installation
is concerned. I thing this version of RC1 is not the "friendliest"
one..-

I'd appreciate any idea helping me to move forward with my installation.
