Error Code: 80070103

Any idea to solve it?

I am having the same problem on my laptop as well;

HP pavillion ze4400 celeron, Windows XP Pro, SP1

Is Synaptics at fault with a faulty hardware installation?

I also have an HP laptop. I had the same problem. I updated this drive a
few months ago. Perhaps, that is the problem.i.e., Synaptics posted more
than one update.
