> Question #1: how can I verify that SP2 installed correctly?
What does the ReportingEvents.log show?
What does the WindowsUpdate.log show?
What does the svcpack.log show? To look for problems you could
do finds (up) from the bottom for strings such as Fail and Err
Try using MBSA to see what it thinks.
You can also use the MBSA command line client to generate some
detail reports that you can use to check whether the module versions
actually match the updates.
