installed June 2009 Cumulative Update Media

I installed June 2009 Cumulative Update Media and the ehome infrared
transceiver no longer works in Vista Ultimate. The light on both the
receiver and transmitter light up but no success. Tried changing channels by
holding the "DVD Menu" and number 1,2,3,4 and still no success. Uninstalled
device and added back but still no luck.
I dual booted back into XP MCE 2005 and it works fine. any ideas where to
start looking for a solution?

If you get no help here, try microsoft.public.windws.mediacenter. Someone
might complain for posting a Vista problem there; ignore that and hope that
someone else knows the answer :-)

I found it- for some reson it disabled the consumer IR devices- If it
happens to someone else!
