Installed KB920872, KB922582, KB920685, KB919007. Mouse pointer now turns to hour glass every 10 seconds for 2.75 seconds in a cycle. Anything to do with these updates?

I Installed KB920872, KB922582, KB920685, KB919007 on Monday.
I turned the machine off a couple times & rebooted, without noticing
anything unusual. Computer hasn't been used since.

Today, the mouse pointer now turns to an hour glass every 10 seconds
for 2.75 seconds in a cycle. Anything to do with these updates?
Computer seems to work fine except for this glitch. Programs start &
run fast. Using eTrust anti-virus. Signatures right up to date.

I do not know if these updates had anything to do with this glitch or
not. Someone installed a new program today (specialized industrial
use), which also could have caused it. They work for the
software/hardware company, so it's not like they haven't installed
this many times before. The guy didn't seem too technical however.

It's a brand new Dell with XP Pro. I installed all Windows updates, a
couple basic programs i've installed many times before, etc.

If anyone has seen this problem before, please let me know.
