Installed Patches Information

List of Microsoft patches installed on the machine used to be stored in
registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Updates. Information
such as InstalledDate, InstalledBy etc used to be stored here. But lately,
the location for such information seems to have moved to elsewhere. Is it
another place in registry? Or is it stored in WSUS database now?

Thanks.

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista x64 SP2) when
posting to this newsgroup.

Does the computer update via WSUS?

Windows Vista Business.

No this computer does not update visa WSUS. Used WUA API to actually
download and install the patch.

For example, I installed KB937287. Went to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Updates and did not find any
information on that patch as I expected. So I am wondering where this
information (such as InstalledDate, InstalledBy etc) is stored now if not in
registry.

Thanks!

Does HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall
contain the information you are looking for?
