Hi
When I look in Installed updates, many of the Updates,
that show in View update history as installed successful,
do not show in Installed updates
like windows defender definitions and
Windows Update Agent 7.2.6001.784 (came Sep 18)
What does that mean ? (Something incomplete)
Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit
Refurbish E machine Gateway
thanks

As long as Windows Update isn't offering you any updates, don't worry about
it.

If you're concerned - Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/s.../cc184924.aspx

Download, install and run.

thank you;
M B S Analyzer 2.1 is a very fine tool
no incomplete software updates found, good.
there are a few thinks I like to fix
I realize this tool works for several Systems
perhaps this 3 things I list below are not part of my system
(computer dummy)
Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit SP1
1) neither logon success nor logon failure are enable
I try to find Local Security Policy under Administration tolls
its not in that list, where alls could I look?
2) IIS is not running on this computer
3) SQL Server and/or MSDE is not installed on this computer
Appreciate guiding

Hi silver hair

1. I don't know the answer to that one (wireless connection perhaps or
network?)
2. Don't worry about that one
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsServ...s/default.mspx
3. Don't worry about that one
