Hi,

I have recently downloaded the latest updates for windows, and since
I've done this my Windows Firewall has been set to On (it used to be
Off cos we have our own firewall) and the option to turn it off is
disabled (apparently due to Group Policy, although it says this even
when I log in to the computer itself, not via our network domain).
We have set the group policy/Windows Firewall/Protect all network
connections to disabled, but after a restart this hasn't had any
effect. I also tried to uninstall the latests security updates, but
this didn't have any effect either (windows has since automatically
reinstalled them).
With the Windows Firewall turned on, with no way to turn it off, I
cannot use my VPN connection to a client's computer (the firewall
blocks it).

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kath

Hi,

Go to Start and then click Run. Type in:
services.msc
Go to the service Securitycenter and disable this service.
Go to the service WindowsFirewall and disbale this service.
Test it again!

Greets,
Wolla
