installed updates are not there after restart

well the subject says it all, i have gone through many of the other topics
but couldnt find anything, basically what happens is everytime i download all
the critcal updates then it installs them, after that windowsupdate tells me
it has installed them but soon as i restart log back on to the windowsupdate
site it tells me i need all those updates of which i have just downloaded and
installed it even tells me i need to keep downloading windowsupdate i really
really need help plz

Open Explorer and navigate to \Windows. All updates should appear as folders
with a label starting as $NTUninstallKB****$ (The **** refers to the KB
number.) Do you have any? What's the most recent? Do any correspond to what
you've been downloading an dinstalling?

hm mate i dont know alot bout computer's im rather new so could u put it in
more of a easier way to say it i dont understand what ya meant be it
